Questions
Questions
Where do the prices come from?
From prix-carburants.gouv.fr, the official French feed where every station declares its prices (Etalab 2.0 licence). The app reads it at every open and every search, and shows the age of each price. Mainland France.
Are the alerts real time?
No. With the unlock, the app checks the prices a few times a day in the background and tells you within the day when your fuel drops below your threshold, drops at a favourite station or rises around you.
What does the unlock include?
Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, price alerts, the rising-price alert and announcements, for good, shared with your family. Everything else, the list, the map, the station pages and the cost of your fill, is free and stays free. The price is shown in the app and on the App Store.
Where does my location go?
Nowhere. It is used on your device to find the stations around you. The request to the official feed carries the search point rounded to about 100 m, never your exact position, and nothing is sent to Decodr.tech. You can also search a city or a postal code without sharing your location at all.
Which devices and languages?
iPhone and iPad, one purchase covers both. The app is in French and English, with a Language setting (automatic by default) and an Appearance setting (system, light or dark).
Your next fill, at the cheapest station.
Free. Widgets and alerts are a one-time unlock, no subscription.
Available soon on the App StoreiPhone and iPad, one purchase covers both.
