Plein Futé for iPhone and iPad
Privacy policy
Last updated November 2, 2026
Plein Futé is made by Decodr.tech. This policy explains what the iPhone and iPad app does with your data. The short version: there is no account, no advertising and no tracking; your location stays on your device; the only thing the app sends to Decodr.tech is anonymous usage counts, which you can switch off.
Your location
Plein Futé asks for your precise location to find the stations around you. It is used on your device only, to compute the distance to each station and to choose the search area. It is never sent to Decodr.tech.
To get the prices, the app asks the official feed of prix-carburants.gouv.fr, hosted at data.economie.gouv.fr, for the stations around a search point. That request carries the search point rounded to about 100 m and your search radius, never your exact position. The operator of that feed sees your request like any website you visit. You can also search a city or a postal code, with no location at all.
What stays on your device
Your favourite stations, your settings (fuel, radius, fill volume, alert thresholds, language, appearance), a 14 day history of the prices you looked at and your last search area are stored on your device, in the app's own storage shared with its widgets (App Group). Nothing of it is sent anywhere. Deleting the app deletes them.
Widgets and alerts
The widgets and the price alerts run on your device. The alerts are checked by iOS in the background, a few times a day, from the same official feed, and shown as local notifications: no notification server, no push token, nothing sent to Decodr.tech.
Announcements (planned rises, tax changes, price news) are a small file that the app reads from a Decodr.tech server. That request carries no identifier and nothing about you; the server keeps standard access logs (time, address, request path, status) for 14 days.
Anonymous usage counts
To know which features are used and to improve the app, Plein Futé sends anonymous counters to a Decodr.tech server. Each one is made only of: the name of an action (for example a search, a sort, a station opened, a route started, a widget added, an alert fired, the paywall shown, a purchase or a restore), the app version, the platform and the day. The country is derived from your network connection by our server and the address is dropped. The full list of events is in the app's source, Shared/UsageEvents.swift.
Counts are never linked to you, to a device, to your location or to your stations. They contain no identifier. There is no tracking across apps. You can switch them off at any time with "Share anonymous usage counts" in Settings; it is on by default. When it is off, nothing is sent.
What is never collected
No account, no e-mail address, no device identifier, no contacts, no crash reports, no advertising identifier, no tracking. Your location, your favourites and your searches never leave your device. On the App Store, the data types declared are Usage Data (product interaction) and Coarse Location (the country) for the anonymous counts, and Purchase history for the unlock. None is linked to your identity and none is used for tracking.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is handled by Apple under the Apple privacy policy. Decodr.tech never sees your payment details. The app checks the purchase on the device with StoreKit.
Children
Plein Futé is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
