AI Dashboard for Odoo

Privacy policy

AI Dashboard for Odoo is made by Decodr.tech. This policy explains what the app does with your Odoo data and what happens when you use the AI chat.

The short version

The app reads your own Odoo database directly from your device, with your own Odoo API key, in read only. There is no account with us, no advertising and no tracking. Two things leave your device towards us. First, anonymous usage counts (see below), which you can switch off in Settings. Second, the AI chat, and only when you ask a question after you have allowed it: the question and the figures shown on the open dashboard then travel through a Decodr.tech server to Anthropic's Claude, which produces the answer.

Your Odoo data

Dashboards, widgets and alerts read your Odoo database directly from your iPhone or iPad (and from the Mac app when it is available), with the API key you created in Odoo. The app never changes or deletes anything in Odoo: it reads only. The Home Screen and desktop widgets read your data the same way.

Your API key is kept in the Keychain of your device. The connection details (address, database, user) stay on your device. None of this is sent to Decodr.tech.

The app only reads your business data and never changes it in Odoo. The only thing it can create is its own API key, when you sign in with your login and password. The API key has the same rights as the Odoo user who created it, and it stays in your device's Keychain. For extra peace of mind, connect a dedicated Odoo user that can only read.

An optional Face ID or passcode lock protects the app on your device, in every plan.

To open fast, the figures of finished periods are kept on your device for 24 hours by default. They are encrypted with the device, not included in backups, deleted with the database, and you can clear them at any time in Settings.

AI chat and Claude (Pro + AI subscription)

The AI chat is available only with the Pro + AI subscription, and it works only when you ask a question. Before the first use, the app shows a consent screen with the same information as here. When you send a question, the app sends:

  • your question,
  • the figures and names shown on the dashboard that is open: amounts, customers, products and salespeople names,
  • your App Store subscription proof, so the server can check that the subscription is active.

When you ask the AI to build a widget, the app also sends the names of the Odoo objects and fields you can read (for example "Sales Order" and "amount_total"), so the AI can propose the right widget. No record values are sent with these names, and they are not stored.

This data goes through the Decodr.tech relay (api.decodr.tech) to Anthropic's Claude, which writes the answer shown in the app. Nothing else from your Odoo database is sent.

What the Decodr.tech relay keeps

The relay does not keep your question, the figures or the answer. It keeps only a monthly counter of your questions, tied to a code derived from your subscription (not your name, not your email, not your device), to apply the quota of your plan. The counter is deleted after the month.

What Anthropic does

Anthropic processes your question and the figures to produce the answer, under its commercial API terms. It does not train its models on data sent through its API, and keeps the question, the figures and the answer for up to 30 days. Anthropic's privacy information: anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Anonymous usage counts

Anonymous usage counts (which features are used, the app version, your country, and the date and time, to the minute, at which they reach our server) help us improve the app. The country is derived from your network address by our server, which does not keep the address; counts are never linked to you or to your Odoo data, and you can switch them off in Settings. The web server in front of the AI chat keeps standard access logs (time, address, request path, status, no text) for 14 days; the usage counts are not part of them.

What is never collected

No account, no email address, no device identifier, no contacts, no advertising identifier, no tracking, and nothing is ever linked to you or to your Odoo data. Apart from the anonymous usage counts described above, there is no analytics.

Purchases, alerts and reports

  • Subscriptions are handled by Apple, under the Apple privacy policy. Decodr.tech receives no payment details.
  • Alerts and reports leave the app only when you share them yourself, from your device, with Mail or the Share sheet.

Your choices

You can stop using the AI chat at any time: from then on nothing leaves your device towards us. Without the Pro + AI subscription, the AI chat is not available and the only thing the app sends to Decodr.tech is the anonymous usage counts, which you can switch off in Settings. To remove the key and the connection, delete the connection in the app or delete the app.

Children

AI Dashboard for Odoo is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date, and the app will ask for your consent again before any use of the AI chat.
