CM - Remote for iPhone and Mac

The answers to the most common questions about CM - Remote and CM Agent.

The iPhone does not find the Mac

  • The iPhone and the Mac must be on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • CM Agent must be open on the Mac: its icon is in the menu bar.
  • On the iPhone: Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > CM - Remote must be on.
  • On the Mac: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > CM Agent must be on.

Pairing

Check that the 6 digit code is the same on both screens, confirm on the iPhone, then click Allow on the Mac.

An action does nothing

On the Mac, allow CM Agent in System Settings > Privacy & Security, under Automation and Accessibility. A firewall such as LuLu or Little Snitch must allow incoming connections for CM Agent.

Playback

Play, pause and next control whatever is playing on the Mac (YouTube, Plex, Music, Spotify...). The track name and the skip buttons (10 s, 30 s, 1 min) work with Music and Spotify only.

Restore CM - Remote Pro

Open the Pro screen and tap Restore purchase. Users of version 1 keep the Pro features for free.
