MergePDF for iPhone and iPad
Terms of use
Last updated October 8, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Decodr.tech ("we", "us") for the use of the MergePDF app for iPhone and iPad (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.
1. The App
MergePDF lets you merge, scan, edit and convert documents into PDF files. Your files are processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy: https://www.decodr.tech/apps/mergepdf/privacy
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules of the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, resell, rent or reverse engineer the App, except where the law allows it.
3. Free version and MergePDF Pro
The App is free to download. The free version shows ads and includes the core features. Each Pro tool and each AI feature can be tried 3 times for free.
MergePDF Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It unlocks all Pro tools, the AI features, Siri and Shortcuts, iCloud sync, and removes ads. It is not a subscription: you pay once and keep Pro on all devices signed in to your Apple Account, and it can be shared with your family through Family Sharing. The price is shown in the App and on the App Store before you buy, and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- You can restore your purchase at any time from the App (Settings > Restore purchases).
- Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. You can request one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com
- Subscriptions bought in earlier versions ("Remove ads") remain valid until you cancel them in your Apple Account settings. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
AI features run on your device with Apple Intelligence and require a compatible device. Their answers are generated automatically and may be incomplete or wrong: check important information against the document itself.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to the files you use with the App. You are responsible for having the right to use, merge and modify them. Because files stay on your device (and in your own iCloud Drive if you turn on iCloud sync), you are responsible for keeping your own backups.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the App to break the law or to infringe the rights of others.
6. Availability and changes
We may update, change or stop features of the App. We will try to keep the features you paid for available for as long as the App is offered on the App Store.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The App is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by law, we do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or interruptions, and we are not liable for indirect damages or for the loss of files or data. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country.
8. Apple
These terms are between you and Decodr.tech only, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Decodr.tech, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Maintenance and support: Decodr.tech is solely responsible for maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
- Warranty: if the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the App, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty are the responsibility of Decodr.tech.
- Product claims: Decodr.tech, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- Intellectual property: in the event of a third-party claim that the App or your use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights, Decodr.tech, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Legal compliance: you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms: you must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App.
- Third-party beneficiary: Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple will have the right to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The new version will be published on this page with its date. If you keep using the App after a change, you accept the new terms.
