FXViewRate for Mac
Privacy policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
FXViewRate is made by Decodr.tech. This policy explains what the app does with your data.
The short version
FXViewRate collects no personal data. There is no account, no advertising and no analytics, and Decodr.tech receives nothing from the app.
Your settings
The currencies, amounts and periods you choose for the app and for each widget are stored on your Mac.
Exchange rates
To show a rate, the app and its widgets ask the Frankfurter service (api.frankfurter.dev), an open source service of reference rates published by central banks, for the currency pair and the dates needed. The request contains the currencies, not who you are. Like any web service, Frankfurter receives the IP address of the request; Decodr.tech does not run this service and receives nothing from it.
Ratings
The app may ask you to rate it, through the standard App Store prompt managed by Apple.
Purchase
FXViewRate is bought on the Mac App Store. Apple handles the payment; Decodr.tech never sees your payment details.
Children
FXViewRate collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with its date.
